Report summary

The Uinta Basin is a complex hydrocarbon system that has been producing from the Tertiary aged Green River and Wasatch formations since the late 1940s. Modern drilling and completion methods have revitalized the play with oil production from the basin expected to grow to nearly 90 000 b/d by 2017 from a low of less than 15 000 b/d in 2003.
