Report summary

The Woodbine formation is present across east Texas, and has been the focus of hydrocarbon production for decades. Modern horizontal drilling techniques have unlocked its potential as an emerging tight oil play. New horizontal drilling and multistage fracturing work is occurring in both previously targeted conventional sandstones and step-out low permeability and low porosity acreage.
