25 de Mayo-Medanito SE and Jagüel de los Machos are two mature oil and gas fields in the central Neuquén basin. The fields do not have exposure to Vaca Muerta as they are located beyond the eastern extent of the shale oil window.Both fields straddle the Rio Negro/La Pampa provincial border.
