Report summary
The Abbey field lies in the Southern Gas Basin, 40 kilometres northeast of the Easington gas terminal. It was discovered by Amoco in 1974 and was originally known as Artemis. Petrogas took over operatorship in September 2024. A revised joint field development plan incorporating Baker and the York tie-back is being prepared. Petrogas submitted an Environmental Statement in July 2026.
