Report summary
In Africa, the number of deals and deal spend is on an increasing trend. 2024 has been a busy year with the Majors divesting non-core or mature assets. African-focused independents and indigenous companies are big buyers as they scale up through acquisitions. ADNOC stands out with two gas focused deals in Mozambique and Egypt. More African assets are on the market and we anticipate further opportunities to emerge in the near future as different players look to re-position their portfolios.
