Amguri
Report summary
The Amguri gas/condensate field is located in the Assam basin in northeast India. The field was discovered in 1973 by ONGC and has been producing small quantities of gas since 1979. A joint venture of Assamco, Joshi Technologies and Canoro Resources initially signed a PSC for the Amguri development in 2001. In 2003, amendments were made to the PSC and Calgary-based Canoro Resources became the majority equity holder and operator.
