Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) operates the Aristanovskoye oil field in southwest Kazakhstan. KNOC acquired an 85% interest in 2009. Aristanovskoye came onstream in 2009 and a full production contract was awarded in 2014, enabling exports to begin.Production has increased in recent years and is expected to peak in the early 2020s.
