Report summary

The Aristanovskoye oil field is located in the North Ustyurt Basin in southwest Kazakhstan. The field is operated by Korea National Oil Company (KNOC), which acquired an 85% interest in 2009. Aristanovskoye came onstream in early 2009 and the field was awarded a full production contract in April 2014, enabling exports to begin. Production has increased in recent years and is expected to peak in 2017. However, this will be much lower than was targeted at the time of KNOC's acquisition of the asset. Aristanovskoye lies in close proximity to oil and gas trunklines. Short pipeline tie-ins have been commissioned to link the field to the Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS) oil pipeline and the Ekerem-Turkmenbashi-Beineu gas pipeline.
