The Atrush oil field is located within the Kurdistan region of Iraq, 85 kilometres northwest of the capital Erbil. It contains medium-light and heavy oil in Jurassic fractured carbonates.The TAQA-operated field was put on production in mid-2017 with an initial capacity of 30,000 b/d. This initial phase produces medium-light oil.
