Auger is a large oil, condensate, and gas field located in the Garden Banks protraction area of the Central Gulf of Mexico. The Auger Tension-Leg Platform (TLP) facility is notable for having achieved a number of firsts: it was the first production facility installed in Gulf of Mexico waters deeper than 800 metres (2,625 feet) and its start-up in 1994 was widely regarded as heralding the start of the 'deepwater era' in the basin.Three fields produce directly to the platform: Auger ...
