Report summary
The Avalon field is located 50 kilometres west of the Forties field in the Central North Sea. Discovered in 2014, Avalon is a stratigraphically trapped oil accumulation containing medium-heavy 22° API oil. Avalon will be developed with two horizontal wells tied-back to a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. The Sevan Hummingbird FPSO, previously used at the Chestnut field was purchased by Ping Petroleum in 2022. It will be upgraded and used on Avalon. The ...
