The Kayo field is located onshore Congo in the Lower Congo basin. The field covers the eastern half of the Banga Kayo block and is operated by Wing Wah, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Chinese oil and shipping company Southernpec Corporation.Wing Wah was awarded the onshore Kayo Nord and Kayo Sud exploration blocks in 2008. The first exploration well spudded in 2013 on the Kayo Sud block and discovered the Kayo oil field. Seven appraisal wells were drilled on the block prior to 2016, ...
