Barataria (MC 521)
Report summary
Barataria (MC 521) is an oil field in the Mississippi Canyon protraction area of the Central Gulf of Mexico. The field was discovered by Deep Gulf Energy (22.5% and operator) in August 2015, and has been developed as a tieback, via South Santa Cruz, to the Blind Faith facility located approximately 19 kilometres (12 miles) from the field. Barataria reached first oil in June 2017.
