Block 64 (Morona) is a mid-sized, light oil field located in northern Peru, close to the border with Ecuador. After Talisman and Hess exited Block 64, the Peruvian government transferred the block to Petroperu. The state oil company farmed out a 75% working interest in the block to GeoPark in 2014 via a joint investment and operating agreement.
