Report summary
The Boxi Area consists of several small oil and gas discoveries in the western Bohai Gulf.The Caofeidian 18-2 and 18-1 fields came onstream in December 2009 and March 2010 respectively. The Caofeidian 6-4 field, discovered in 2014, was fast-tracked for development. It came onstream in March 2021. The Caofeidian 2-1 field is in CNOOC's new projects pipe, and we expect it to commence production in 2025.
