On 23 November 2018, BP and partners announced they had started production at the flagship Clair Ridge project in the UK’s West of Shetland. This is the second phase of the giant Clair field’s development and with reserves of 640 million boe, it’s the largest project to start production in the UK since Buzzard in 2007. In this inform we look at the impact Clair Ridge will have on BP, the West of Shetland and the UK as a whole.
