Asset Report
Caratinga Area
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
The Caratinga area comprises the Caratinga deepwater post-salt oil field and the Carimbé discovery. In 2016, ANP approved the Commitment to Individualize the Production (CIP) of both fields. In 2019, the ANP approved the extension of both Barracuda and Caratinga concession contracts until 2052. Petrobras has plans to revitalize Barracuda and Caratinga fields and in 2023 started a hiring process for a new FPSO. We expect this new vessel's first oil to occur by 2028. The fields are taxed under different ring fences, hence there are separate models for them.
