The Cerro Dragón Area is Argentina's largest oil producer and is operated by Pan American Energy (PAE). It covers four adjacent producing concessions in the San Jorge basin. The most important concession is Anticlinal Grande-Cerro Dragón. In 1995, the Cerro Tortuga-Las Flores and the Chulengo concessions were incorporated into the original Cerro Dragón block.
