Characterising NAPE 2019: subtle but smart
Report summary
Each February we attend the North American Prospect Expo (NAPE) in Houston. NAPE is the ideal platform to visit with private US onshore E&Ps. Research discussions allow us to assess how those companies may interact with larger public players over the next 12 months. This year the mood was a bit subdued after last December's price fall. There was no banner asset or white hot play, but that didn't stop smart deals and meaningful knowledge sharing. In this piece we outline the key takeaways from the expo.
