Dragon Oil, a subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC, United Arab Emirates), operates the offshore Cheleken Contract Area. This is Turkmenistan's largest oil production asset, with gross output of around 55,000 b/d in 2022-23.The Dzheitune and Dzhygalybeg fields are often referred to by their old Soviet names of Lam (Dzheitune) and Zhdanov (Dzhygalybeg).
