The Colpa Caranda contract area contains the mature Colpa and Caranda fields. The fields were initially discovered and developed by Gulf and later taken over by YPFB. For many years they were amongst the most important producers in Bolivia. In 1989 Perez Companc (now Petrobras Argentina) signed a contract to undertake Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) work the fields and also explore for deeper gas reserves.Since 1999 activity at Colpa Caranda has been primarily focused on meeting Petrobras ...
