Our long-held thesis that the Haynesville needs to consolidate is coming true. Comstock Resources announced plans to acquire Covey park for an enterprise value of US$2.25 billion. Following the acquisition of Covey Park's 248,830 net acres, Comstock will now control 373,935 net acres across the Cotton Valley and Haynesville/Bossier Shale.
