ConocoPhillips exits Indonesia with sale of Corridor gas project
Report summary
ConocoPhillips has sold its 54% stake in the Corridor PSC in Indonesia to Medco Energi for US$1.355 billion. Medco will also acquire ConocoPhillips' interests in the associated Grissik and Transasia pipelines. The Corridor PSC is the second largest gas producer in Indonesia, supplying volumes to Singapore and Indonesian markets under various long-term contracts.The deal is well timed for ConocoPhillips. The US independent intends to use the proceeds from its sale in Indonesia to pre-empt EIG's acquisition of a 10% stake in Australia's APLNG.
