Cormorant Area
Report summary
The Cormorant Area comprises six oil fields in the Northern North Sea: Cormorant North, South Cormorant, Cormorant East, Pelican, Eider and Otter. The area has produced nearly a billion barrels of oil since 1979 and is now very near the end of its life. All crude from the area is exported via the Brent pipeline system to the Sullom Voe Terminal in Shetland. South Cormorant is located 160 kilometres northeast of Lerwick, Shetland.
