The Corvette gas field lies 85 kilometres northeast of the Norwich coast. The field was developed via a remotely controlled, not-normally-manned wellhead platform. The Shell-operated Caravel and Shamrock fields have been developed as tie-backs to Corvette, utilising a shared pipeline. Caravel and Shamrock were brought onstream in 2008 and as a result, production from Corvette was backed out.Gas is transported to the Shell-operated terminal facilities at Bacton via the Leman 'A' platform.
