Crescent Point acquires Legacy Oil + Gas for US$1.25 billion
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
On 26 May 2015, Crescent Point Energy Corp. announced the acquisition of Legacy Oil and Gas Inc. for total consideration of Cdn$1.53 billion (US$1.23 billion). The acquisition falls in line with Crescent Point's strategy of acquiring high netback, low decline and large oil in-place pools with low recovery rates and development upside. For Legacy, the transaction caps a tumultuous six months where the commodity price decline and its economic effects magnified Legacy's debt position.
