Report summary
The D6 block consists of the Dhirubhai 1&3 gas field and a number of satellite fields in the Krishna-Godavari Basin, off the east coast of India. Reliance's plans to achieve a peak production of 2.8 bcfd has not been realised after the operator encountered reservoir complications and higher than expected water ingress in many of the producing wells in Dhirubhai 1&3. Production from the field peaked at 2 bcfd in 2010 and has been declining since.
