Report summary

The Dagang Oil Fields are situated in the Hebei province, on the western coast of the Bohai Gulf. PetroChina operates 25 oil & gas fields in this region. Exploration and development in the region started in the 1960s. In December 1964, the Gangdong field was discovered, leading to the first commercial development in Dagang. In recent years, PetroChina has strengthened its exploration and development efforts in the tidal area of Dagang.
