On 18 May 2015, DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG (owned by LetterOne) announced it was farming out half of its stake in the West Nile Delta (WND) project to BP. The project spans both the North Alexandria and West Mediterranean Deepwater licences, in which DEA is partnered with BP. DEA will reduce its share to 17.25% in both concessions and BP will hold 82.75%.
