Asset Report
Deen Dayal
Report summary
Deen Dayal is a gas condensate field that was found in one of the most competitively contested blocks during India's third NELP licensing round. The first discovery in the block, KG-8 (now Deen Dayal), confirmed the presence of hydrocarbons in the Cretaceous reservoirs of the KG Basin. Seven, smaller, fields were discovered subsequently. In December 2008, the operator received commercial approval for development of the field.
