Report summary
The Dongfang Area comprises a series of gas fields located in the Yinggehai Basin, west of Hainan Island. The Dongfang 1-1 field contains high concentrations of carbon dioxide and nitrogen, with sales gas representing less than 60% of gross gas production. Phase I development commenced production in October 2003, with Phase II following in 2006.
