The GEMS Area (Greater Ems Area) is a cross-border development in the southern North Sea located at the mouth of the Ems estuary. It straddles the Dutch N/4, N/5 and N/8 licences, as well as the German Geldsackplate licence. So far there have been three discoveries: Ruby, Turkoois and Tanzaniet. ONE-Dyas, the operator, partners with Discover Exploration, Neptune Energy Group and Wintershall Dea.Plans to develop the Ruby field are already underway.
