Don't be fooled by Permian GOR trends: details matter
Report summary
Natural gas production has already grown nearly five bcfd since the beginning of 2017 and is expected to continue leading US growth for at least the next two years. Could we expect even more Permian growth than what's currently modeled with today's GOR and bubble point data? Basin-level GOR metrics look stable, but well-level data tell a completely different story. Additional gas volumes would have huge implications for the future of flaring, pipe buildout, and ultimately Waha basis.
