The giant Ekofisk field was the first development on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). One of the largest discoveries ever made, the development of licence PL018 incorporated Ekofisk, as well as the Cod, Vest Ekofisk, Edda, Eldfisk, Embla, Tor (unitised with PL006) and Albuskjell (unitised with PL011) fields.
