The El Tordillo Area comprises three separate licences in the northeastern San Jorge Basin operated by Crown Point Energy: El Tordillo, Puesto Quiroga, and La Tapera. Since 2005, polymer injection (Colloidal Dispersion Gel) has been applied in the operation to improve sweep efficiency. In 2025, secondary oil output accounted for roughly 65% of total production. Historically, the water cut has been increasing consistently, reaching approximately 94% in the same year.
