State-owned EmbaMunaiGas (EMG) is a core production unit of NC KazMunaiGas (NC KMG), Kazakhstan's NOC. EMG operates more than 40 oil fields in west Kazakhstan, almost all of which are mature.On average, EMG produced more than 51,000 b/d in 2020-22, down from a plateau of 57,000 b/d because of Kazakhstan's contribution to global OPEC+ cuts.
