Eni makes Calypso gas discovery in deepwater Cyprus
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Eni's gas discovery continues the emergence of the Eastern Mediterranean as an exploration hot spot. Calypso confirms the further extension into Cypriot waters of the Cretaceous carbonate play in which the super-giant Zohr discovery was made in Egypt. For Eni, this discovery allows it to cement its position as a key player in the East Mediterranean and for Total the result is another vindication of its increasing appetite for exploration.
