Erebus (MC 898) is a small oil and associated gas field in the Mississippi Canyon protraction area of the central Gulf of Mexico. The field was discovered by Shell in 2022. Shell is developing the field via one subsea well tied back to the Shell-operated Ursa TLP facility which lies 16 kilometres (10 miles) to the northwest. Erebus sits on the same block as Pastel Pink which was discovered in 2005.
