The Gachsaran Area Fields are 13 relatively small oil fields located approximately 200 kilometres northwest of the city of Shiraz in southern Iran. The fields are situated within the prolific Zagros Basin, and have a combined stock tank oil initially in place (STOIIP) of around 20 billion barrels. The fields were discovered in the 1940s, 1970s and 1990s. All fields are currently producing, except Milatun and Kilver Karim.The fields are operated by Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company ...
