The three Gassi El Agreb (GEA) onstream oil fields are satellite fields of the giant Hassi Messaoud oil field, operated by Sonatrach. El Gassi, Zotti and El Agreb were originally discovered by Elf Aquitaine (now Total Energies) between 1959 and 1960.
