Report summary
Escalante - El Trebol is a mature oil field located on the northern flank of the San Jorge basin. For decades, YPF has been implementing an improved oil recovery (IOR) programme to reduce decline and increase final recovery.In 2014, the operator was awarded a 30-year extension for a group of blocks. The agreement included the Manantiales Behr & Restinga Ali and the Escalante - El Trebol extensions, among other areas located in Chubut province. The expiry year became 2047.
