Report summary
A Plan for Development and Operation (PDO) of the Ormen Lange gas field was formally approved by the Norwegian Storting on 1 April 2004. Separate development plans were also approved for two large export pipelines - Langeled North and Langeled South. The Langeled system transports processed gas from the Nyhamna terminal to the Sleipner area of the North Sea and then onwards to the Easington terminal on the Yorkshire coast in the UK.
