The Vesterled pipeline system (formerly Frigg Norwegian Pipeline) comprises of the original Frigg Norwegian Pipeline (FNP) and the new Vesterled pipeline link built in 2001. The original FNP runs southwest from the decommissioned cross-border Frigg field, to the St Fergus terminal in the UK. The Vesterled link extension runs from the Heimdal offshore riser platform in Norway to a tie-in point on the FNP. In 1976, the FNP was laid to transport gas from the Frigg field to the UK market. ...
