On 15 November, Gazpromneft announced the discovery of the Triton field in the Sea of Okhotsk. Triton's initial in-place resources are estimated at over 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent. The discovery proves that Russia's Far East is a highly prolific exploration opportunity.
