Gharraf
Report summary
The Gharraf oil field is located 220 kilometres south of Baghdad, in Iraq's Dhi Qar province. It was discovered in the mid-1980s, but development did not start until a technical service contract (TSC) was awarded to a consortium led by Petronas Carigali in 2010. Phase 1 was put on production in August 2013. It quickly ramped up and averaged 103,000 b/d in 2016. The second phase of development was approved in April 2018.
