Golfinho is a deepwater field operated 100% by Petrobras in the Espirito Santo basin. Discovered in 2003, Golfinho opened up a new deepwater province in the basin, which was previously known only for small onshore and shallow water fields. Petrobras fast-tracked the development of Golfinho, bringing it onstream in 2006, owing to its light oil.
