Tullow's November trading statement contained a downgrade to the crude quality of the Guyana discoveries - Jethro and Joe. The heavy sour crude will attract a price discount to the light sweet crude. The news coupled with operational delays and lower prices provoked a backlash by investors. Tullow's share price was down 27% on the day. We analyse the impact of rising costs and lower prices on the Jethro economics and the future of exploration on the Orinduik Block.
