On 11 July 2017 Halcón Resources Corporation (Halcón) announced the sale of its operated assets in the Williston Basin to an affiliate of Bruin E&P Partners a portfolio company of Arclight Capital Partners for US$1.4 billion in cash. The deal includes 105 900 net acres in Williams McKenzie and Dunn counties producing approximately 29 000 net boe/d.
