WoodMac analysts spent the week of 29 May in Luanda and held discussions with the leading upstream players in Angola: oil majors, NOCs, local juniors, regulators and government bodies. We received an update on the upstream development plans. And surfaced a few recurring themes: fiscal terms competitiveness and how to incentivise investment, roadblocks for gas monetisation, cost inflation and upstream supply chain bottlenecks, achievements on emissions reduction and additional opportunities.
