Report summary
The Hunter Gas Pipeline (HGP) is a proposed pipeline connecting the Wallumbilla Gas Hub, in southern Queensland, to Newcastle, in New South Wales. The HGP could serve as an alternative route for gas from Queensland to reach the major population centres in NSW. Santos acquired Hunter Gas Pipeline Pty Ltd in 2022. The HGP will transport gas from Santos' Narrabri Gas to market, via the Narrabri lateral pipeline.
